Glass panels for kitchens – inspirations

Glass panels are slowly replacing ceramic tiles installed over the kitchen worktop. This more expensive, but much more functional solution can be introduced to your interior in various ways

Kitchen is a specific place in the house. Usually, cabinets and shelves take up most of the space above the countertop and appliances, so arranging the wall between them can be problematic. Some people decide on wallpaper, others on tiles, and some choose glass panels – and the latter solution is gaining popularity, especially in modern and minimalist interiors. What are the advantages of this solution and which glass panels to choose for the kitchen?

What are glass panels and why is it worth having them?

Glass panels, otherwise known as laminated glass, are made of several layers of glass created from tempered glass. This unique structure gives them exceptional durability against damage, which is why they are often chosen by people with growing children. Glass panels for kitchens are very easy to install and additionally bring aesthetic value to the kitchen. Their glossy structure interacts well with the light, and thus optically enlarges the interior – which makes them suitable even for a small kitchen

Glass panels are heat resistant and can be installed over gas and electric stoves. Additionally they are very easy to clean – just wipe them with a cloth and glass cleaner to get rid of stains from grease and cooked food

Laminated glass for kitchen – let yourself be inspired!

There are plenty of companies on the market that offer laminated glass with prints on request – for example with photo wallpapers. Of course, you can also choose one of the many ready-made designs offered in DIY stores. But before you make your choice, let yourself be inspired!

1. Wood is always versatile!

Wood can be difficult to care for and maintain – especially in areas like bathrooms and kitchens, where moisture is a common occurrence. But that doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice its aesthetic! Wood introduces an element of warmth and coziness to the interior, and at the same time it goes well with both Scandinavian, loft and rustic arrangements. There are glass panels available on the market that imitate natural planks – the grain and knots are visible in them

2. Marble in glamour style

Whether you are a fan of glamour in a bright, very feminine and classic edition or more in a darker version, which has a loft-like aesthetic, you can find glass panels that you will love! They imitate marble not only in their color and vein structure, but also shine like a natural stone. In combination with gold elements your kitchen will look like royalty!

3. Geometric and loft-like

There are also glass panels for kitchens with geometric patterns available on the market – for example rhombuses or abstract lines intersecting at different angles. They will look best in the timeless color combination of black and white, however golden-white or golden-black ideas may also delight the fans of loft style. They will look great when combined with metal accessories

4. Urban jungle? Why not!

On the wave of popularity of urban jungle you will surely also find laminated glass with plant motif. The most popular are of course monstera and banana leaves as well as ferns. Remember, however, that such strong accents in the arrangement may slightly reduce the optical space – so they will look better in kitchens with a large area.
